Not bad for a first effort

Seeing the sequence after you click the cat at the end was great, and I get the feeling you'll make a solid sim-date game in the future if that's your aim. As for my suggestions: there were some minor stylistic things that gave it a choppy feel -- the font change when you're picking a response in particular, the fact that it switches between at some points having you click on the text itself in the bottom box to go to the next page and then at one point you have to click on an arrow button instead, and the box at the bottom of the screen jumps slightly when it transitions between showing a response and giving you options to pick from. I'd recommend tweaking the platform so it does a color change instead of a font change when you mouse over a response, and make it so you can go to the next page of text by clicking anywhere inside the big box instead of having to click either on the text or on a next button, or maybe just always using a next button but not having it make people click on the text.

as fun as watching paint dry

well, you can code a flash game, now you just need to come up with an idea for fun gameplay

nice fizziks based game

I'm pretty sure the way I got past some of the levels wasn't the way you had in mind when you designed them, but that's one of the things I liked about it.

Seems like it could use more

There were some things I liked, like the spotlight moving around that you've got to stay in, and some stages with moving obstacles. Since you specifically asked for any things that might be done better, a stationary mouse-avoiding game can be kind of dull, especially if there's not even a time limit. The more innovations you can include in the game the funner it'll be: like having the maze scroll around through the viewport at a set rate that you have to keep up with (like if you're travelling down a tube) and getting faster and changing directions as the game goes on, or having stuff shoot at you from different directions with a few projectiles thrown in that you are supposed to touch to stay alive instead of avoid, or even having some short-distance teleportation that you can activate with the arrow keys.

awesome action shooter

This is a sweet little fast paced action game; not overly cerebral, more about reflexes and getting immersed in the experience, and it accomplishes that very well. The game area seemed kind of small... not much room to maneuver. Maybe making the actual game field larger than the viewport and having it scroll around as you move would make it feel bigger, but still it's really good as is.
